General Overview		Astrid is generally very shy and reserved, very much keeps to herself, though not unfriendly. She has a desire to help her patients above all else and works hard to ensure that anyone under her care receives the kind of medical care she herself would like to receive, should their roles be reversed.
Strengths & Weaknesses		She's a hard worker who is truly passionate about her job. She has a laser focus on ensuring the well being and safety of everyone who walks into sickbay and will do whatever is necessary for them. She is a fast learner, a perfectionist, and stubborn to a fault. She's slow to trust people, making forming new fri3endships more difficult; once her trust is lost, however, it's almost impossible to gain it back. When she trusts someone, she is fiercely loyal, ride or die kind of friend. She will move mountains for the people she cares about the most.

Personal History

Astrid comes from a very influential and wealthy family on Earth. Her father is a very successful businessman with contacts in multiple systems, and her mother is an heiress of a vast old-money family. Appearances were always very important to her parents and Astrid was expected to meet very high standards over the course of her childhood. As a girl, her mother dragged her to pageants until she was 18 years old, at which point she applied to Starfleet Academy and was accepted. Her parents were furious, and their relationship remains very strained to this day. When she graduated at the top of her class, she spent several months at Starfleet HQ, working with one of her beloved professors on a pet project of his before she was reassigned to Haumea Colony. She's excited for this new opportunity and looks forward to the adventures awaiting her in the colony.
