Personal History | Delia was born on Catulla to engineers from a family of engineers employed by the Yoyodyne Propulsion Systems and Harrell Hullworks, one of the Federation's leading manufacturers of warp-capable spacecraft hulls. Since half the facilities were on stations in geosynchronous orbit, she had the experience of moving between living on world and on stations throughout her childhood. A smart and curious child, with penchant for taking things apart, either to reconstruct them or turn the components into abstract works of art, her parents expected her to follow them into their profession. However, she sport fo choice was gymnastics, and she was *almost* good enough to qualify for the planetary championships - at least before she hit adolescence and both height and figure changed too rapidly, disrupting her balance and leading to fall that badly damaged her knee. With the end of her competitive physical gymnastics ambitions, she turned to aerospatial gymnastics, setting her sights on becoming a pilot in Starfleet. |
