The child of a science oriented family unit, they pride themselves on being a forward thinking person who bucks tradition. | Hobbies & Interests | Eris enjoys plant horticulture, which is evident by the many plants that adorn their quarters (if private quarters are provided). They also enjoy theater, and their love of ships extends beyond starships to the ice cutters of old Andoria and even ancient Earth sailing ships. |
| Personal History | Eris was born on Starbase 7, to a family unit of scientists and engineers. They were especially close to one of their maternal parents, Satira, who worked as an environmental systems biologist. It was through this relationship that they developed their love of horticulture. Their time on Starbase 7 also exposed them to Starfleet personnel; watching the Starfleet ships enter and depart the station became one of their favorite pastimes. Despite being a fairly progressive family unit, their parents Zaria and Theleb insisted on arranging Eris’ marriage to a set of clans on Andoria. Eris strongly protested this, as the marriage would interfere with their dreams of joining Starfleet. As they came of age, their refusal to fulfill the marriage agreement caused personal offense to one of the involved familial clans, resulting in a Ushaan challenge. Rather than face the challenge, Eris booked a flight to Earth and enrolled in Starfleet Academy. Though they keep in touch with Satira and their other parent, Savan, they understand that if they ever return to Andoria they will have to face the Ushaan duel that they have indefinitely postponed. |

| Service Record | Eris attended Starfleet Academy in San Francisco, where they graduated in the 85th percentile. Following graduation, they were posted to the U.S.S. Al-Biruni where they served as an Environmental Systems Specialist. They recently put in a request for transfer to Haumea Colony in order to gather data on a native plant species that looks like a promising candidate for atmospheric filtering. |
