| Personal History | Jess grew up on on a freighter (the Ghana), she was well loved by her parents but the expectation was always that she would spend her life on board and take over their jobs once they reached retirment age. Jess took the security of a garunteed job for granted and never gave a passing thought to th fact that her entire life would be spent on the same ship. As she grew up she grew attached to another child on board the Ghana. John Warren, was the sin of the Ghana’s captain, and was (as Jess was) expected to take up a job onboard as he reached working age. In their teenage years the two of them grew extremely attached and formed a romantic attatchment. However John had no intention in remaining on board and left for Earth at his first opportunity, to later join Star Fleet. This had a huge impact on Jess and she was left feeling abandoned. At first she was angry that John would ever leave her or the rest of the crew. But as she waited on for a time when he would return she realised that his new life was a much better fit for him, and she started to question her own life’s direction. Eventually this came to a head when, Jess discovered that John had started a new relationship with one of his fellow Star Fleet officers. Out of anger she left the ship at the next available space port and found her self stranded on a space station with no real job prospects. After a lot of searching she found a job advertised for a Logistics Manager on Haumea Colony. |
