| Personal History | Lillian James, the firstborn daughter of Starfleet parents, LT. Brandon James, Engineer, and LT. JG Phyllis James, Paleontology, both of whom fought in the Dominion war. Her sister Michelle James was born in 2378, both of her parents had become friends with a Klingon in the House of Noggra, his name was Lok G'obarv. He was their children's god-father, When her father was killed in action in 2380, her mother then resigned from Starfleet upon the death of LT. Brandon James to raise their daughters on Earth. After the death of her father, Lok offered his house to Phyllis and her children to come under his protection, Phyllis declined the protection but visited often as her children growing up, Lok even stayed with them on Earth on several occasions. She did occasional work for Starfleet as an consultant. As Lillian grew up, she was in several fights at school, receiving several scars and broken limbs and so Lok took Lillian under his wing and taught her how to fight, and to fight with honor, much to her mother's dismay. Lillian thrived on his teaching, before she entered the Academy, Loc presented her with her d'k tahg and kut'luch, and when she graduated he gave her a bat'leth and mek'leth. She also got drunk with him and received a tattoo on her right upper arm, of the seal of the House of Noggra in his honor. Lillian had heard about the USS Voyager and Captain Kathryn Janeway’s unbelievable voyage home and studied everything she could find out about the ship and the crew. When she entered the Academy she studied Karate, Ju-Jitsu, and Klingon fighting styles, as well as Starfleet's hand to hand combat, she also had a talent for tactical studies and science. Upon graduating from the Academy she was posted to the USS Ohio as an Ensign and caught the eye of her Chief of Security, LT. Thomas. He recommended her transfer to the USS. Argentina, with the rank of LT. JG, who’s chief of security caught a contagious virus and was removed from active duty for the last three months of the cruise, which Ensign James filled in with confidence and expertise. Her ability to quickly analyze a ship’s weak points saved the ship several times and she received a commendation after the cruise. She heard that the Heumea Colony was in need of officers and supplies. |
