General Overview | She’s a gentle soul who is entirely non-violent and highly altruistic. She will push herself to her limits if it means being able to help someone else in need. She can be stubborn and determined in her pursuit of a cure or the best way to heal those in her care. She laughs easily and has a warm and caring heart. She is the kind of woman who, when she finally falls in love, will love forever. She certainly doesn’t like to give up on her friends.
Strengths & Weaknesses | Strengths: + Altruistic/Compassionate + Strong sense of right and wrong + Good listener + Intelligent/perceptive/intuitive + Good sense of humor/fun + Curious/A Bit of an Explorer Weaknesses: - Non-violent - being a doctor, she’s opposed to causing harm intentionally (she would see this as a strength) - Fear of abandonment (the loss of her home world and everyone she knew and loved has left a profound mark on her soul) - Hot chocolate (there aren’t words) Likes: + Snuggling under a warm blanket near the fire watching it snow outside + Tea (she has quite a variety and nearly always makes it herself) + Live performances - plays especially but does love music (and dancing) + Long walks especially when she can explore some place she hasn’t been before Dislikes: - The Borg although dislike isn’t a big enough word to describe how she feels. Angry at the loss of her world and the people she loved and misses to this day, yes, but also horrified by a culture that thrives through the destruction of other worlds and the loss of those cultures - Not being there when she’s needed (she’s always going to be the one that comes in off shift or volunteers for the dangerous assignment because she’s needed and because lives are at stake) |
|
Ambitions | She wants to be there, to help others, and while she's at it see a bit of the universe. If you pressed her, she would say that what she wants most is find a home and family. Hers was taken from her.
Hobbies & Interests | + Gardening - likes growing her own vegetables and herbs + Cooking + Reading - addicted to mystery novels + Hiking/Camping/Swimming + Dancing/Yoga |
Personal History | Childhood Born on Ramatis III to a large and boisterous family. Her family lived in households (as opposed to houses) meaning there was always a lot of extended family nearby. There were uncles to take her own ‘adventures’ and cousins to tease, family events and large, noisy dinners. There was always someone there to help with homework, talk through a problem, or chase away a bad dream. Her inquisitive nature meant that she became a good student who made friends easily and often volunteered for extra projects. The San Cyrs believed in service and Isabeau was no different in this regard. She also wanted to serve and while her father pushed for diplomacy and her mother pushed for teaching, she chose to become a physician and to see a bit of the universe before she settled down at home. Death of the Homeworld Ramatis III fell to the Borg in 2381. Having served on the Pirogov for four years by that time, she was no stranger to the difficulties faced by service on a Starfleet vessel and had already seen her share of tragedies. The loss of the her world, however, was tragedy on a whole new scale. She stayed three months with an old friend in his, off-the-grid cabin in the mountains. She says she cried non-stop the first week and spent the first month helping him build a greenhouse while learning a lot about homestead construction techniques. She spent her days doing chores and her nights talking by the fire over dinner and wine. After three months, she was ready to return to work. The loss has had a profound effect - she doesn’t sleep as well and even now, a sudden memory of home will bring tears to her eyes. |
